Preserving

Last week we went to central, we came back with boxes of fruit.
Then we we spent the next few days preserving all the fruit.
Apple jelly is one of my favorite things to make.

Apple and blackberry jelly




We made sauce and jam and jelly and stewed fruit and frozen fruit and bottled fruit, we have enough bottles of fruit for a bottle a week for a year.



I also am making pickled walnuts, you get green walnuts stab them with a fork and put them in brine for a week or so, then take them out a put them on a tray or dish until they turn black, then put them in a bottle and pour pickling vinegar on them and leave them alone for 3 months or more.
