All of this furniture is made out of cardboard.

I'm building a dolls house, it is now where near done so in the meantime I have been making furnishings for it.

Pencils made from toothpicks.

A crate made from iceblock sticks, with knitting done on pins with embroidery thread.

A chair made out of card board, then covered in paper tissues and painted black then a little bit of gold.

And upholstered with green silk.

Doves

I have doves, four of them.
At the moment they are being homed. I built the house almost a year ago, and it has been sitting in the garden for months.

 The net will be removed in a month or two and hopefully the doves will stay.

 Two of them are definitely a pair, they spend most of their time together and will defend their spot against any intruders.

I put rings on their legs a few days ago, they did not appreciate it.

Preserving

Last week we went to central, we came back with boxes of fruit.

Then we we spent the next few days preserving all the fruit.

Apple jelly is one of my favorite things to make.

Apple and blackberry jelly

We made sauce and jam and jelly and stewed fruit and frozen fruit and bottled fruit, we have enough bottles of fruit for a bottle a week for a year.

I also am making pickled walnuts, you get green walnuts stab them with a fork and put them in brine for a week or so, then take them out a put them on a tray or dish until they turn black, then put them in a bottle and pour pickling vinegar on them and leave them alone for 3 months or more.

Waistcoat

I am making an embroidered waistcoat, I started just over a week ago and I'm over half way through it.

The material is a piece of silk I saved from being sold on trade me.

Buttons

 Recently I have been making embroidered buttons. There are four types of coverable buttons I have used, all plastic, all metal, and half and half of two sorts. And I made one Dorset button, but that is different.
